Students Enjoy Authentic Taiwanese Cuisine at Food Expo

St James College co-hosted a Taiwanese Food Expo which saw over 30 visitors, including education agent partners, VIP guests and representatives from the Taiwanese community in attendance.

The Australian College of Tourism & Information Technology (ACTIT) and Your Point International Pty Ltd also attended with the fare sponsored by ANYO.

Guests were greeted by the college’s Indigenous dance troupe followed by a campus tour led by Jimmies students, where visitors experienced part of a student cooking session in the hospitality kitchen.

The group then settled in to the college restaurant space and the Taiwanese cuisine was served while Ms Claire Huang, Industry Consultant of Sarina Russo Apprenticeships, spoke about apprenticeship and traineeship opportunities.

St James College Coordinator, International Student Engagement & Marketing Ms Tamia Song said, “It was a fantastic opportunity to showcase our school's talents and hear about upcoming opportunities.”

Other special guests included Ms Vivian Lin (Overseas Chinese Affairs Commission of the Republic of China), Ms Emily Huang (Overseas Chinese Affairs Advisory Committee of the Republic of China, Managing Director of Queensland Chinese Times and Queensland Property Weekly), Mr Jris Hsieh (CEO of Jris Education), Ms Ashley Ng (Director of Fraser Coast Tourism and Event Board), Ms Pearl Chen (Director of Your Point International Pty Ltd), and Ms Claire Huang (Industry Consultant of Sarina Russo Apprenticeships).
