St James College Year 12 student, Mahlia Henare, recently represented Met East at the U19 Queensland State Netball Championships.

Mahlia’s performance throughout the tournament was acknowledged by many and she was awarded:

Most Valuable Player (MVP) for the Met East team

Overall MVP of the competition

Selection in the Queensland State Netball Team

These accolades are testament to Mahlia’s skill and sportsmanship.

Mahlia will captain the St James Open Girls’ team competing in the 25th Queensland Independent Secondary Schools Netball (QISSN) carnival in Bundaberg from June 28 to July 4, 2025.
