St James College Students Recognised at QLD Training Awards Regional Final
Four of our Year 12 students attended the 2025 Queensland Training Awards Metropolitan Regional Presentation and Luncheon last Friday, 25 July, in the Main Auditorium, Brisbane City Hall.
Engy Abdalla Gamar won both of her categories – Equity Student of the Year, and also Vocational Student of the Year.
Jackson Vitale won the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student of the Year.
Whilst not progressing with their nominations, Molly Carter (Certificate II in Furniture Making) and Lachey Button-Wright (Certificate II in Salon Assistant) are to be congratulated for their outstanding achievement in making it to the Top 3 in their category.
Our college community is extremely proud of Engy, Jackson, Molly and Lachey.
Following another interview with the judging panel in early August, both Engy and Jackson then move through to the State Training Awards Final on 5 September.
