St James College Engages with Educators at EREA Careers Event

Latest News, Thursday, 11 Sept 2025

This week St James College took part in the Working at EREA Colleges event, hosted at St Laurence’s College and attended by educators interested in teaching within Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA) schools.

The event provided an opportunity for early career and experienced teachers to discover the benefits of working in an EREA school, hear from school leaders, and connect directly with college representatives. St James College received terrific interest from attendees, with many educators particularly drawn to our co-educational setting and the opportunities it creates for both students and staff.

Principal Andrée Rice addressed the group during the evening, sharing insights into the college’s vision and values. Meanwhile, the St James team engaged in conversations at our table, resulting in a strong list of teachers eager to explore future opportunities with the college.

We are proud to be part of the EREA family and committed to attracting educators who share our values of faith, community, and justice. Events like this highlight the strength of the EREA network and the passion of teachers dedicated to making a difference in young people’s lives.
