Pride and passion on display at the St James College 2022 Cultural Night

The annual St James College Cultural Night was described by Principal Ann Rebgetz as 'an uplifting experience to see the excitement, pride, passion in the beauty in all of the cultural performances.'

"It was a tremendous outcome, where we saw the talents of many students so aptly coached and supported by our staff.

"The participation and input by parents into costuming, makeup and support was also very much appreciated,' she said. 

The event also featured food and drink stalls from the Pacific Islands, Asia, Pakistan and Australia. 

Cocurricular Cultural & Arts Coordinator Mr Josateki Tora said the range of cultures performing included “First Nations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander), to the South Pacific, (Cook Island, Fiji, Tonga), over into Asia (China and Afghanistan) and just south of Asia into the continent of Africa (Rwanda, Eritrea, Congo, and South Africa).”  Further he congratulated the students and staff on an exceptional production in sharing their beautiful cultures.
