As St James College turns 150 in 2018, we celebrate a special milestone in our school's journey.

During 2018 we will host a number of events to reflect on and celebrate our successes over 150 years.

Commemorating 150 years of St James College - "Jimmies".

As part of our 150 year celebrations we are pleased to announce the launch of a very special commemorative book. 

On 23 August 1936 Archbishop James Duhig blessed and opened the front gates of St James Christian Brothers School. For over 150 years St James on its compact, inner-city site, has faithfully served generations of boys and later girls from humble beginnings. Long may it thrive. St James has been FAITHFUL FOREVER.

Written by Ian McDonald, “We Stand on Holy Ground: The 150 Year Story of St James College” tells the story of Queensland’s Oldest Catholic Boys’ School.

The book price is $40.00 and copies of the book can be collected from the school office by arrangement or posted for an additional $15.00.
